What should I do if the passenger airbag 'ON' indicator stays lit after installing a child restraint in the front seat?

Turn the vehicle off, remove the child restraint, and reinstall it following the manufacturer's directions. If the ON indicator is still lit after reinstalling, check that the vehicle's seatback is not pressing the child restraint into the seat cushion, and make sure the restraint is not trapped under the head restraint.
