How do I use the Engine Start feature to jump-start my vehicle?

Set the timer to OFF and with the charger unplugged, connect it to the battery following proper grounding instructions. Plug the AC cord into the outlet, then set the Charge Rate selector switch to Engine Start. Crank the engine for up to 5 seconds; if it doesn't start, wait 3 minutes before trying again. During extremely cold weather or if the battery is under 2 volts, use Boost or Engine Start for 5 minutes before cranking. If the engine turns over but never starts, stop cranking as the problem is not with the starting system.
