How do I connect a USB Hard Drive to record TV programmes?

Connect the USB Hard Drive to one of the USB connections on the TV, switch on both the hard drive and the TV, then tune to a digital TV channel and press Pause to trigger formatting. Follow the on-screen instructions to format the drive, and once formatted, leave it connected permanently. Note that the USB Hard Drive is formatted exclusively for this TV and recordings cannot be used on another TV or PC. (Page 22)
