How do I format a USB Hard Drive for recording?

Connect the USB Hard Drive to one of the USB connections on the TV, switch on both the Hard Drive and TV, then press Pause while tuned to a digital TV channel to start the formatting process. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete formatting. Warning: Formatting removes all files from the USB Hard Drive and the drive is formatted exclusively for this TV only, so you cannot use recordings on another TV or PC.
