What WiFi frequency will my devices automatically connect to on the TP-Link VX420-G2v?
The modem will automatically connect your devices to the best WiFi network possible, which is 5GHz. However, older devices may only be capable of connecting to the 2.4GHz WiFi network. (Page 3)
