What safety precautions should I take during a lightning storm?

Do not touch the power cord during lightning to avoid electric shock. Unplug your TV during a lightning storm or when it will not be used for long periods of time to protect it from damage due to power surges. For added protection, disconnect the antenna or cable system as well.
