How do I winterize or store the dishwasher when not in use?

To store the dishwasher during summer, turn off both the water supply and power supply to the dishwasher. If the dishwasher will be left in a seasonal dwelling or exposed to near-freezing temperatures, have it winterized by authorized service personnel to protect against water damage from freezing lines. The manual notes that damage from freezing of the fill valve is not covered by the warranty. (Page 20)
