You should change the interior water filter cartridge, located in the upper corner of the fresh food compartment, every 6 to 9 months depending on your usage. If water flow to the dispenser or ice maker decreases noticeably before 6 months have passed, replace the filter cartridge more often. The replacement cartridge part number is 8171413 (NL200).
