Items that should not be washed include: disposable aluminum pans, bottles and cans, cast iron, gold-colored flatware, hollow-handle knives, pewter, brass, bronze, tin, and wooden ware. Do not wash plastic items unless they are marked 'dishwasher safe.' Always check the manufacturer's recommendations before washing delicate items. (Page 16)
