What water temperature is recommended for best dishwashing results?

Water should be 120°F (49°C) as it enters the dishwasher for best results. If your water heater is far from the dishwasher, run hot water at the nearest faucet for at least 1 minute before starting a cycle to clear cold water from the line. You can verify the temperature by placing a candy or meat thermometer in a glass measuring cup while the water runs. (Page 12)
