Which items should NOT be washed in the dishwasher?

Several items are not dishwasher safe, including cast iron, disposable aluminum pans, bottles and cans with glued labels, gold-colored flatware, hollow-handle knives, pewter/brass/bronze, tin, wooden ware, and disposable plastics. Cast iron will have its seasoning removed and will rust, while wooden items can warp, crack, or lose their finish.
