How often should I do a deep clean of the lint screen?

Clean the lint screen with a nylon brush every 6 months, or more frequently if it becomes clogged due to residue buildup from laundry detergent or fabric softener. To deep clean, wet both sides with hot water, scrub with a nylon brush and liquid detergent, rinse with hot water, and thoroughly dry with a clean towel before reinstalling. (Page 9)
