How do I winterize the washer if I won't be using it during freezing weather?

To winterize the washer, put 1 quart (1 L) of R.V.-type antifreeze in the drum and run the washer on a Rinse/Drain & Spin cycle. Then unplug the washer or disconnect power, shut off both water faucets, and disconnect the water inlet hoses from the faucets and drain them. When you are ready to use the washer again, flush the water pipes, reconnect the hoses, turn on the faucets, plug in the washer, and run a Normal cycle with half the recommended amount of HE detergent to remove any remaining antifreeze.
