How do I clean the lint screen on my Whirlpool dryer?

Pull the lint screen straight up from the dryer control panel. Roll lint off the screen with your fingers, but do not rinse or wash it as wet lint is hard to remove. Push the lint screen firmly back into place before each load. Every six months, you should also wet both sides with hot water and scrub with a nylon brush and liquid detergent to remove residue buildup from laundry detergents and fabric softeners.
