Why does my refrigerator seem noisy?

Normal refrigerator noises include buzzing when the water valve opens, pulsating from fans adjusting, hissing/rattling from refrigerant flow, sizzling/gurgling from water during defrost, popping from wall expansion, water running into the drain pan, and creaking when ice ejects from the maker. These are all normal operating sounds.
