How do I replace the light bulb in the refrigerator or freezer?

For the refrigerator light, unplug the unit, reach behind the control panel, unscrew the bulb, and replace it with a 40-watt appliance bulb. For the freezer light, unplug the unit, remove the freezer shelf, push down to remove the light shield, then replace the bulb with one of the same size, shape, and wattage before replacing the shield. Always use a bulb of the same size, shape, and wattage as the original. (Page 11)
