How long does it take for the ice maker to produce ice and how much does it make?

Allow 24 hours to produce the first batch of ice, and discard the first three batches produced. The ice maker should produce approximately 8 to 12 batches of ice in a 24-hour period. Allow 3 days to completely fill the ice container, and on some models, the ICE PLUS setting can increase production to 16 to 20 batches per 24 hours. (Page 10)
