How often should I change the water filter and how do I replace it?

Replace the water filter when the status light changes to red, or if water flow decreases noticeably; for models without a status light, change the filter every 6 months. To replace it, press the eject button to release the filter from the base grille, pull it straight out, transfer the cap to the new filter, and push the new filter in until the eject button pops back out. After replacing, flush the water system by dispensing 1.5 gallons (5.4 L) of water. (Page 6)
