What does Whirlpool's warranty cover and for how long?

Whirlpool offers a One Year Limited Warranty from the date of purchase, covering Factory Specified Parts and repair labor to correct defects in materials or workmanship when the appliance is operated and maintained according to instructions. The warranty does not cover service calls for improper installation, damage from accident, misuse, or abuse, or repairs needed when the appliance is used for other than normal single-family household use.
