Why is my washing machine noisy during the wash cycle?

Some noises during washing are normal. Gears engaging after the drain and before spin, or the upper part of the agitator clicking during wash are normal washer noises. However, if the load is unbalanced or overloaded, or if the washer is not level with front feet properly installed and nuts tightened, this can cause excessive noise. Verify that the yellow shipping strap with shipping pins was completely removed during installation.
