What should I do when first setting up the ice maker and water dispenser?

After connecting to a water source, flush the water system by dispensing a total of 3 gallons (12 L) using a 5-seconds-on, 5-seconds-off cycle. Allow 24 hours to produce the first batch of ice and discard the first three batches produced. Allow 2 to 3 days for the storage bin to fill completely following installation. (Page 22)
