How do I flush out the water system after installation?

After connecting your refrigerator to a water source, depress and release the dispenser pad for cycles of 5 seconds on followed by 5 seconds off. Continue this process until about 3 gallons (12 liters) are dispensed to clear air from the lines thoroughly and prepare the filter for use. (Page 14)
