How do I connect the drain hose properly to avoid water leaks?

Pull the corrugated drain hose out of the washer cabinet by the pull tie. Connect the drain hose form to the hose by feeding one end into the form and securing the lip into a hose rib, then bend the hose over and feed the other end 6-8 inches (15.2-20.3 cm) beyond the form. For standpipe or laundry tub drains, do not force excess hose into the standpipe and ensure there is a gap for air.
