How do I test my carbon monoxide alarm to make sure it is working?

Press the TEST button, and the Power, Fault, and Alarm indicators will all flash once at the same time. If the detector is working properly, one full cycle of the alarm will sound. If there is a malfunction, a fault warning will be given instead. The alarm should be tested once a month.
