How do I feed cutting line while using the trimmer?

To feed a length of cutting line, tap the bump head on the grass while the trimmer is running and it will automatically advance and cut the line to the correct length. A gentle tapping motion is sufficient, and you may repeat this as many times as necessary. The unit should be positioned at a slight forward angle to prevent the guard from hitting the ground.
