What should I do if the line feed is not working properly?

First, remove the spool cap, then pull the cutting line until it extends 5-3/8 inches (136mm) from the spool. If insufficient line remains, install a new spool. Check that the line is not crisscrossing on the spool as shown in Fig. L, and verify that the line start is tensioned against the spool and the spool cap tabs are aligned with the compartment slots. If problems persist, clean the spool and compartment, check that the compartment lever moves freely, and rewind the line carefully. (Page 12)
