What should I do before using my Bosch cooktop for the first time?

Remove all packing materials and literature from the cooktop surface, wipe it with a clean damp sponge while cool and dry it, then apply the Cooktop Cleaning Creme packaged with the cooktop and buff with a clean cloth. There may be a slight odor during the first several uses, which is normal and will disappear. (Page 4)
