What should I do before using the cooktop for the first time?
Remove all packing materials and literature from the cooktop surface, then wipe it with a clean, damp sponge and dry. Apply the Cooktop Cleaning Creme packaged with the cooktop and buff with a clean cloth. Note that a slight odor during the first several uses is normal and will disappear. (Page 4)
