What water pressure is required for the washing machine, and what should I do if the pressure is too high?

The water pressure in the mains supply should be between 50 and 900 kPa (0.5–9 bar), with at least 8 litres of water flowing out per minute when the tap is turned on. If the water pressure is higher than 900 kPa (9 bar), a pressure reducing valve must be installed. Only cold drinking water should be used, and the machine must not be connected to the mixer tap of an unpressurised hot-water boiler. (Page 26)
