Place knives and sharp utensils with their HANDLES UP and forks and spoons with their handles DOWN. If loading large or oddly-shaped items, ensure they do not nest together. The Flexible Silverware Basket (on select models) can be split into two halves and placed in various positions in the lower rack, while the Standard Silverware Basket fits along the side of the lower rack.
