Why is rinse aid important and how do I add it?

Always use liquid rinse aid to achieve proper drying, even if your detergent contains a rinse aid additive. The dishwasher indicates low rinse aid by turning on the Rinse Aid LED light. Open the rinse aid reservoir and pour liquid rinse aid over the arrow, then turn the arrow to adjust the amount dispensed. Wipe up any excess that puddles when the reservoir is full. The indicator light will turn off a few moments after the dishwasher door is shut.
