What should I do if the heating stops working after the thermostat loses communication with the receiver?

When communication is disconnected, the receiver will automatically turn OFF the heating in the boiler. You can manually turn ON the heating using the button on the receiver while communication is lost. Once wireless communication is re-established, the receiver will automatically return to working according to the thermostat settings. (Page 28)
