What items should NOT be washed in the dishwasher?

Items not recommended for dishwasher use include acrylic, adhesive-joined pieces, bone-handled utensils, iron, pewter, brass, bronze, tin, and wood. These materials can crack, rust, tarnish, warp, or lose their finish when washed in the dishwasher and should be hand washed instead. You should also never load paper products, plastic bags, or packing materials in the dishwasher. (Page 17)
