What do the different icon colors in the Brother Status Monitor mean?

A green icon indicates the normal stand-by condition, a yellow icon indicates a warning, and a red icon indicates an error has occurred. A grey icon means the machine is offline. You can double-click the Status Monitor icon in the task tray to access it, and click the Troubleshooting button to access Brother's troubleshooting website. (Page 13)
