How do I switch between purl stitch and whip stitch on the HE-800A?

Switching between purl stitch and whip stitch is done simply by selecting the desired option on the operation panel. The upper thread tension is controlled by a solenoid to enable this selection. Fine adjustments to the upper thread tension can then be made using a thread tension nut. (Page 2)
