What safety precautions should I follow when using the foot controller?

Do not turn on the machine while pressing down the foot controller, as the machine may start unexpectedly and cause personal injury or damage. Do not store objects on the foot controller, and do not allow pieces of cloth and dust to build up on it, as this could cause a fire or electric shock. Press the foot controller down to start sewing and take your foot off to stop. (Page 1)
