Can I use the camera in extreme temperatures?

The camera should not be left in places with excessive heat, such as in a car on a sunny day, as this can cause malfunction. At low temperatures, battery performance may decline slightly at freezing temperatures, so keep spare batteries warm and use them alternately (p.4-5).
