What are the shooting modes available on the Mode Dial and what do they do?

The Mode Dial is divided into Basic Zone and Creative Zone modes. Basic Zone includes Full Auto, Portrait, Landscape, Close-up, Sports, Night Portrait, and Flash Off — these are fully automatic modes where the camera sets everything. Creative Zone includes Program AE, Shutter-Priority AE, Aperture-Priority AE, Manual Exposure, and Automatic Depth-of-Field AE, which allow the user to control shutter speed, aperture, or both.
