How do I properly store the tractor and prepare the fuel system for storage?

Empty the fuel tank by starting the engine and letting it run until the fuel lines and carburetor are empty, since alcohol-blended fuels can attract moisture and form acids that damage the fuel system during storage. Fully charge the battery, clean the entire tractor, inspect and replace belts if necessary, and lubricate as shown in the Maintenance section. Never store the tractor with gasoline in the tank inside a building where fumes may reach an open flame or spark.
