What should I do to prepare my tractor for storage at the end of the season?

Clean the entire tractor, inspect and replace belts if necessary, lubricate as shown in the maintenance section, ensure all nuts and bolts are securely fastened, and touch up any rusted or chipped paint. For the fuel system, empty the fuel tank by starting the engine and letting it run until fuel lines and carburetor are empty to prevent gum deposits. For the battery, fully charge it and disconnect the cables to help prevent corrosion during storage. (Page 29)
