What is the procedure for checking and adjusting the brake?

To check the brake, park on level dry concrete, depress the clutch/brake pedal, engage the parking brake, and disengage the transmission using the freewheel control. The rear wheels must lock and skid when you try to push the tractor forward. To adjust, measure the distance between the brake operating arm and nut A on the brake rod—it should be 1-9/16 inches. If not, loosen the jam nut and turn nut A until the correct distance is achieved. (Page 25)
