What is the Reverse Operation System (ROS) and how do I use it?

The Reverse Operation System (ROS) allows the operator to run the mower deck or other powered attachment while traveling in reverse, which would otherwise shut off the engine. To activate it, move the motion control lever to neutral, then with the engine running, turn the ignition key counterclockwise to the ROS 'On' position before moving into reverse. The manual strongly discourages mowing in reverse and states it should only be done when necessary to reposition the machine. (Page 12)
