What is the correct way to install a drill bit into the keyless chuck?

Lock the switch trigger by placing the direction of rotation selector in center position, open the chuck jaws to slightly larger than the bit size, insert the drill bit straight into the chuck the full length of the jaws, then tighten the chuck jaws on the bit. Do not insert the bit at an angle as this could cause it to be thrown from the drill. (Page 12)
