What should I do if the engine fails to start?

Check that the choke control is in the CHOKE position, the spark plug wire is connected, the spark plug is not faulty, the fuel tank has clean fresh gasoline, the engine has been primed, and the safety key is fully inserted. If using electric start, ensure the extension cord is connected to both the outlet and a grounded 120V power source. If problems persist, contact a Sears service dealer.
