How do I start the engine on my Craftsman T100 lawn tractor?

Insert the key into the ignition switch, place the PTO lever in the disengaged (PTO OFF) position, engage the parking brake, and activate the choke control. Then turn the key clockwise to the START position, and once the engine starts, release the key and place the throttle/choke control lever in the FAST position. Do NOT hold the key in the START position for longer than 10 seconds at a time, as this may cause damage to the engine's electric starter. (Page 18)
