How do I charge the Dyson V12 Detect Slim for the first time?

It is important to fully charge your new machine before using it for the first time. Connect the charger either directly to the machine or via the wall dock — the blue LEDs on either side of the battery will flash during charging, and both LEDs will light for 5 seconds when fully charged.
