Battery Chargers Error Codes

Flashing fault icon and alternator icon on LCD screen indicate an alternator issue detected during alternator check.

LCD screen displays flashing clamp icon indicating the charging clamps are not properly connected or detected.

Reverse polarity alarm — an audible alarm indicating the battery clamps are connected with incorrect polarity.

Alarm sounds if the door remains open for more than five minutes, possibly indicating blockage preventing closure.

Reverse polarity detected — the positive and negative clamps have been connected incorrectly to the battery terminals.

Overheating — the charger's internal temperature has exceeded safe operating limits.

Battery voltage too low — the battery voltage is below the minimum threshold for safe charging.

Battery voltage too high — the battery voltage exceeds the maximum safe charging threshold.

The alternator is out of the typical voltage range and is not functioning correctly.

Alarm triggered when temperature exceeds safe levels inside the appliance (refrigerator: above 59°F, freezer: above 18°F).

Device is overheating or experiencing temperature issues.

The charger is overheating and requires a cooldown period before resuming operation.

Overheating detected — internal temperature too high.

Indicates an issue with the connection or condition of the battery being charged.

The charger has entered energy save mode if the charger isn't connected to a battery in 2 minutes.

The mains cable is connected to the wall socket.

The battery has a short circuit.

Setting switch is set to Charge mode rather than Start mode.

The chargers clamps are attached to the wrong battery terminals.

The amperage gauge needle remains at the high end of the scale instead of decreasing during charging, indicating a battery short circuit.
