How should I clean the car seat base?

Do not lubricate or immerse any part of the base in water unless rinsing is permitted. Plastic and metal parts may be wiped clean with mild soap and water and dried with a soft cloth. The seat pad can be machine washed separately in cold water on a delicate cycle and tumble dried for 10 to 15 minutes on low heat.
