How often should I replace the water filter, and how do I reset the indicator?

You should change the water filter every 6 months or after dispensing 125 gallons (453 L) of water to ensure the highest possible water quality. To replace it, turn off the ice maker, push on the face of the filter to release it, slide out the old cartridge, and push in the new one until it clicks into place. After replacing, press and hold the Water Filter reset button for 3 seconds until the display changes from red to green. (Page 23)
