How do I protect the dishwasher from freezing if it is left in an unheated place?

Have a service technician cut off electrical power to the dishwasher by removing fuses or tripping the circuit breaker, then turn off the water supply and disconnect the water inlet line from the water valve. The technician should drain water from the inlet line and water valve, then remove the plastic sump cover in the tub bottom and use a sponge to soak up water in the rubber boot. (Page 16)
